Danielle Lee is the Global Vice President, Partner Solutions at Spotify and an accomplished strategic marketing professional with over 15 years experience in brand building, media innovation and technology for some of the world’s most respected brands.
As part of the executive team at Spotify, Danielle leads several lines of business including product marketing, business marketing, strategic marketing and creative solutions for advertisers and brand partners. In her role, she is responsible for developing the go-to-market strategy and growing global revenue by developing high impact content and digital ad experiences.
Prior to Spotify, Danielle spent two years at Vevo and served as the Global Vice President, Commercial Marketing. Her team was responsible for building compelling sales narratives and developing the positioning and go-to-market strategy for all Vevo programs, core video products and tentpoles. Danielle also spent seven years at AT&T and served as the Vice President of Product Marketing and Innovation at AT&T AdWorks. She was responsible for developing new online, mobile and TV advertising solutions, defining the go-to-market strategy and growing the multi-screen ad business. Danielle also spent three years at Showtime Networks where she directed new products marketing and advertising for the premium cable network, and was instrumental in building awareness and tune-in to Showtime’s award-winning original series like Weeds, Dexter, Fat Actress and The L Word.
Danielle was named one of Adweek’s Top 50 most indispensable executives in Marketing, Media and Technology in 2016, 2017 and 2018 and she is a three-time honoree of the Most Powerful Women in Mobile Advertising by Business Insider. Danielle also serves on the IAB Digital Video Center of Excellence board, acts as a executive mentor as part of Cannes Lions’ See It Be It initiative and is an Executive Member of She Runs It.
Danielle holds an MBA in Marketing and Media Management from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Columbia University. She currently resides in Montclair, New Jersey with her husband and their two children.
Head of Live Nation Urban
Shawn Gee is the President of Live Nation Urban, and a Principal and Partner in Live Nation’s Maverick management company. Gee began his career in music almost 20 years ago as the co-manager for acclaimed music artists The Roots and Jill Scott, both natives of his hometown of Philadelphia. Two decades later Gee still manages all aspects of the careers of these two artists, as well as through his Maverick venture co-manages Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, G Eazy, and Rich Da Kid amongst others. Gee’s expertise in the business and strategy of the live touring and music festival models have placed him as one of the most respected live music executives in the industry. As President of the newly minted Live Nation Urban venture, Gee and his team are responsible for developing unique live global platforms and urban content opportunities while also helping emerging artists build their live profiles, with a focus specifically in the areas of Hip Hop, R&B & Gospel. He is creator and/or equity partner in several festivals such as The Roots Picnic, Broccoli City Festival, R&B Summer Block Party and Kirk Franklin’s Exodus Festival. One of Gee’s goal with Live Nation Urban is for the company to serve as a platform for young African American future executives to be introduced to the live entertainment industry.

Former Host, Are & Be | The Podcast at Spotify
Chad A. Foster is a New York City resident from the South Side of Chicago. He is currently a first year MBA candidate at Columbia Business school with a focus in Media & Technology. Before starting business school, Chad managed content partnerships at Spotify, where he was responsible for building and maintaining relationships with premium podcast partners, as well as developing new, original podcast ideas. In addition to his day-to-day duties, Chad created and hosted the Spotify Original Podcast, “Are & Be | The Podcast.” He’s interviewed artists such as Brandy, Miguel, Toni Braxton, H.E.R., Smokey Robinson, and more. Prior to Spotify, Chad was a Marketing Analyst at American Express OPEN and a Music Analyst at Nielsen Entertainment.
At Columbia Business School, Chad is an active member of the Black Business Students Association and the Media Management Association. He is also a member of the Jackie Robinson Foundation Alumni Association.
A magna cum laude graduate of Morehouse College, Chad is a travel junkie, lover of entertainment, and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated.
