Participants will learn strategies to build influence and establish long-term leverage across industries.
Justin Dean, Managing Director and Senior Partner at BCG
Justin Dean is a leader in Boston Consulting Group’s Energy practice with 30 years of experience working in power and utility sector. Justin oversees BCG North America’s Mid-Atlantic System and is responsible for operations for the firm’s Washington DC, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Pittsburgh offices. As a member of BCG’s Global Executive Committee, Justin helps shape BCG’s own business and people strategies.
Within power and utilities, Justin has experience across the value chain—with a focus on electric and gas utility strategy/M&A, field operations improvement, digital/product management, distributed energy resources, large scale renewables, and energy access/affordability. This includes advancing affordable energy access for all, fostering a more inclusive workforce, and addressing environmental considerations.
Prior to joining BCG, Justin led distribution engineering at NV Energy in Southern Las Vegas and started his career at ABB/ALSTOM Power as a generator repairs engineer. Justin serves on the Global Advisory Board at the Kellogg School of Management and the Board of Trustees at the University of Virginia School of Engineering and is an active member of the Executive Leadership Council.
Kaye Foster, Executive Coach & Senior Advisor at BCG (CBS '91)
Kaye Foster is a highly respected board chair, venture partner, and former corporate leader with 20+ years of experience engaging with executives at global corporations, including Pfizer (NYSE: PFE), Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ), and Onyx Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: ONXX). Arriving in the United States at the age of 19, with only $50 in her pocket, her extraordinary career began with a BBA from Baruch College, an MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business and culminated in a Senior Advisory role at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
At BCG, Kaye shares her decades of business intelligence with executive leadership in Venture and Private Equity-backed companies with market caps ranging from $2B to $30B. Her most recent projects include supporting the post-M&A CEO transitions for a $2B organization and coaching senior leaders with implementing an enterprise manufacturing system.
Previously, Kaye guided the redesign of Onyx Pharmaceuticals’ “ready now and ready later” succession planning, resulting in a 90%+ retention rate. At JNJ, she managed a $200M HR budget and 1,800 HR professionals.
Kaye is a Founding Director at two pre-IPO companies and a Venture Partner to Arch Ventures in San Francisco. Her board service includes two corporations, the Advisory Boards of Collective Health and Waymark, and advisor to the CEO of Upside Foods.
